ASX Today: rise & shine – US markets bouncing back
Here is today’s morning wrap up:
On Tuesday, US markets were firmer. Despite the fact that the latest estimate of economic growth fell short of projections, analysts believe it will put an end to speculation of the Federal Reserve tapering its bond purchases. Investor mood was boosted by positive earnings reports. Ford’s stock jumped 3.8 percent, while Yum Brands’ stock rose 6.3 percent.
The Dow Jones moved higher with a+0.44% move or +153.600 points. The S&P 500, moving +0.42% or +18.510 points. Based on technology, the Nasdaq was up overnight, closing with a +0.11% gain or +15.680 points.
This morning, the Australian stock market is projected to start Friday higher. The ASX 200 is predicted to open the day 7 points or 0.10 percent higher today, according to the latest SPI futures.
